Well, sort of this. I mean... he decided to take on dangerous opponents. Who the **** did Mayweather fight comparable to Maidana at 24 years of age? At 24, Floyd was owning the super featherweight division. Broner was overly audacious jumping up to welter so fast.

People forget, before Floyd started to look for real challenges i.e. the De La Hoya fight, he was almost 30.

You'll see a picture of this 6' tall jr lightweight that was knocking everybody dead named Chico Corrals. And Floyd also fought guys like Angel Manfredy, who was probably as good as Maidana. He fought Jose Louis Castillo twice at lightweight. Matter of fact, even those who ***** about Floyd's choices of opponents agree that he fought the best of the best during his lighweight days.

AB got the hell knocked outta him for the first time probably in hs life, and wasn't gonna listen to anybody under those circumstances. Either way, even though he looks up to Floyd, he doesn't listen to Floyd either. So I don't really think its gonna matter who's in the corner, he's gonna do what he's gonna do.

Well, he doesn't have to listen to Floyd but it would pay to listen to the people that you're going to battle with.

For everyone saying that there's only one Floyd Mayweather, the question is what dangerous opponent did Floyd face when he was 23-24 yrs old at welterweight??? Answer...NOBODY!! And Broner is 5'6" while Floyd is 5'8"!!!! He's smaller than Floyd and he jumped up 2 weight classes to fight Maidana at 147. Blame poor matchmaking by Team Broner and Golden Boy...but give credit to Broner for moving up and facing an extremely dangerous opponent. In comparison, Broner vs. Maidana at 147 would be like a lightweight Floyd vs. Mayorga or Margarito at 147 back in early 2000s.

And did Floyd ever end up facing Mayorga or Margarito in any weightclass??? Nope.

Those opponents that hitking referenced were lightweights. My argument is who did a 23-24 yr old Floyd fight at 147 that was dangerous? We know that answer.

Floyd would get the same beatdown treatment Boner hot had Junior fought Mosley, Cotto, Sergio, and Pacquiao in their prime. Leonard and Hearns fought each other twice, each went up and fought Hagler in his prime, fought Wars with Duran. The paycheck was secondary. Your nephew won't fight anyone, until he has hand picked strategically the safest route to the back. I will say this about Boner, and I don't like the guy; he had the ballz to tell fans to pick his next opponent, and he landed a very dangerous Maidana at the peak of his career. The ending didn't work out for him but he stayed in the best he could. That's more than I can say about Floyd JUNIOR.
