Floyd knows he has all the leverage now, so all his posturing is going to be fuck you I don't need you, it makes no sense for him to give up leverage even if that fight makes him the most money because Floyd will do alright either way. Even if that is what people want to hear.

Either Arum and by extension Manny bend over backwards for Floyd and give Floyd everything he wants or there is no point in talking about it. Floyd won so they need to seek terms for surrender and Floyd should not (from a negotiating standpoint) make it easy on them because they are desperate.

      "It's not about working harder"

On what World does that not sound ******?

To many people, it sounds ******. But to those who think critically, it makes all the sense. Working harder doesn't guarantee success. If intelligence is not at the forefront, then working hard is wasteful.

His father said something similar on All-Access. That Floyd would try to train for 7 or 8 hours in a day. And he said he made him stop that. That it's not about working harder, it's not about using your body, it's about using your head. Being smarter. And that as you age, you have to be smarter and rely less on your body. And that also as he ages, he needs more rest.

I knew i could not be the only one. Been too many good fights this year to stress out over things we have no control over.

I don't know how people can still be on Floyd's jock. He's the best defensive fighter I've ever seen. His offense is at best ok to watch. I've been disappointed by more boring Floyd fights than I care to count.
Manny on the other hand is the best offensive fighter I've ever seen. I can't really remember a boring fight from him, except at the points in fights when guys start running away.
I'm sick of Floyd bragging about PPV numbers that are based more on his Latino opponents, and Mexican undercards, and fighting on Mexican holidays then they are about his exciting fights.
Boxing fans are being robbed if this fight isn't made. Two alltime greats. One of the greatest warriors ever vs a defensive wizard too afraid to test himself.

Its as if he's become a worse speaker as he's got older, his interviews are so bad. He just repeats the same thing over and over. Learns a new saying or phrase and keeps using it. For example "True Champion" he's been repeating it like a parrot recently.

Over the years I have kinda warmed up to Mayweather... Its no secret he is cherry picking guys but the media and fan boys are the ones hyping the guys he is selecting to fight.

He is clearly securing his future as far as $$ goes he is a smart business man IMO. Look at how many talented fighters end up broke and on the streets! While the route he is choosing may not be appealing to us and turn a lot of fans away from him at the end of the day its about him.. its his life, his money and his health.

I mean if Floyd left the sport some what injured and broke are you guys gonna take care of him and his family? The answer is no. Professional boxing is a shady ass business so my hats off to Mayweather for making them millions and trying to stay healthy.

It's how he's going to hype Khan.

Why? He said what most fighters don't dare say, but would secretly agree with Floyd in their head.

Remember when Eminem first came out? Sh-tting on everyone and everything and having unpopular opinions? This is what Floyd is to boxing. Only thing is, that what he says is true. Boxing is a business.

Despite him saying what he said, you can't sit there and disregard his wins over Hatton, Mosley, Cotto, Canelo, De La Hoya, Corrales, Castillo, Hernandez, etc. Just because he said what he said. What he said was fact, but even though he said that, he still has one of the top 3 greatest resumes of active fighters, with Hopkins and Pacquiao being the other 2 IMO.

Plain and simple, boxing is a business and you have to go with the fights that will get you the most money and can be realistically made.

Funnily enough, the guys he's "cherrypicking" were seen as too much for his rival, Manny Pacquiao. Imagine Pacquiao choosing to fight Canelo at 152lbs? or Cotto at 154? Or Ortiz coming off the Berto win? Remember Berto was an option for Pacquiao at one point when he was undefeated, but Pac cherrypicked Mosley coming off a draw and a loss?
