I don't think there will ever be a right time for this match-up. Someone's going to be at a disadvantage.
If Lomachenko beats Salido, they should probably just go ahead with it next year at some point, or early 2015 at the latest. If the guy can beat Salido, he's clearly world class.

This kind of thing has happened before. Remember Marquez? Dude was not as difficult to watch as Rigo was but still had a hard time getting an audience. Barrera, Morales, Hamed all bypassed him, and no one really cared. Wasn't until he became more aggressive with more of a killer instinct that he got an audience.
And I don't think its ignorant to say the way he fights is be
yond boring. It is professional sports not the amateurs. As I said there are many defensive fighters and counterpunches who have made fan friendly fights. He doesn't.
marquez actually said this last week, that after the medina fight he needed to be a bit more aggressive but in a smart way,you can go in with head movement, with smart defense at the same time,if you are really good you can do that,i just think it's the fear in some boxers

By saying and quote"It is professional sports not the amateurs." you meant that an amateur fighter will beat a pro fighter the way Rigondeaux does? It should be that any professional fighter should be able to handle any amateur boxer, specially if this amateur has only a handful of fights...

That number is misleading, they count dozens of feints that Rigondeaux does when he knows that is nothing coming back at him

rigo's matches should be a second main fight at the Top Rank PPV events. This would be a perfect solution.
