Let me put it this way, should every president be respected just because they are presidents. Should every basketball player be respected just because they are basketball players? Or should we take in consideration what they are doing with their position in order to give them our respect?

I believe a person earns his respect with his actions, not with his position. Regardless of the field he is in.
      That was deep bro

Whoever saids he deserves respect is delusional and not he goes in the exposed pool along with Matthysse.
No, but. He took a terrible beating all night long to the head and body. In the 11th and 12th rounds, he really tried to pull it out. The fact that he made it to that point and still had a will to win, erases the BS he pulled. He showed a lot of heart and courage late in that fight. Not many would have even made it to that point of the fight with the punches Maidana was landing.

I will freely give credit where it is due, and Broner earned some respect back with that late effort alone.

Its his job, anything short of that he has no business being a prizefighter because it is why hes being paid for.
