You do know that was not the case initially but Manny didn't go there just to get the fight on? Floyd was coming back from a long layoff while Manny was tearing up each division and getting very good PPV numbers.

But as you can see from this last year (2013), it also depends on who you fight. Floyd drew a lot less with Guerrero compared to Canelo.

Excluding this year, the difference is less than you think. Manny fought more regularly so he was drawing more annually while Floyd drew more as an average.

Now factor in that Floyd has been asking for more even before he fought Cotto. Back then the difference is on how you calculated things BUT what Floyd wanted was ALL PPV Money. Remember it used to be "TAKE THE TEST AND WE HAVE A FIGHT. So anyway you look at it, there seems to be no true initiative from Floyd side that makes you say that he is trying hard to get this fight on. At least Manny gave in on testing and even said "to make the fight, I would take less" even before Floyd said anything about money splits changing from 50/50

This fight won't get my money and if you guys are real boxing fans than you won't support it either. Friggin disappoint and just lame.

Khan out of all the possible matches? Really! What a fake champ!
Mayweather destroying boxing? His last fight did 2.2 million ppv buys and had the entire sports world buzzing about boxing. Pacquiao/Rios barely a made whimper. Mayweather is the one guy keeping boxing relevant.

Richard Schaefer has thoughts on Bob Arum’s thoughts on a variety of topics, including his interest in Mayweather vs Pacquiao, the U.S. boxing market, and more.

GOOD post & that's why team pacquiao and arum keep using floyds name to promote fights
