Froch has the resume to put him on guaranteed, anyone disagreeing simply hates on his style, he might not seem skilled, but he has gotten the job done almost every time, only losing to the pound for pound #2 and the Viking warrior both on foreign soil.
Within the last 6 years:
Good Wins:
Robin Reid,
Jean Pascal (undefeated),
Jermain Taylor,
Arthur Abraham,
Mikkel Kessler,
Brian Magee,
Andre Dirrell (close but he won)
Glen Johnson
Lucian Bute (undefeated)
George Groves (undefeated)
Loses:
Andre Ward,
Kessler.
Now tell me again he isn't P4P and I'll Roger Mayweather your ass!

People have a really skewed version of the Groves fight because of the early stoppage.
Please take a little time to remember that Froch came back from real adversity and was battering Groves with clean shots when the fight was stopped.

People just did not like Carls attitude going into this fight and I can sort of see why, but on the other hand I can also see why Carl got mad. The first ESPN interview they did together was 10 minutes long and while Carl is very respectful towards Groves and the other way around, suddenly out of nowhere Groves calls Froch a 1-dimensional fighter, like it was not even a diss. I can understand Froch got a bit upset on him, but I also think that Carl was a bit too proud and had the wrong attitude for this whole fight, as if it just needed to get done so he could move on to bigger and better things.
In the end, Carl won, and I would have paid 100 dollar to see the last 4 rounds of what was nothing but a modern classic (up until the stoppage).

This "Ring 100" is an annual list, and this year it was done by me, Anson Wainwright and Martin Mulcahey. You'll notice that our Top 10 differs from Giampa's.

Despite his performance against Groves, the old battle worn warrior still came out on top against a young hungry lion. Great fighter and an excellent ambassador to the sport.
The one thing I will say is that he did say some things post-fight that made the whole situation worse for him though.

Yep, but being a bit of a **** isn't a factor in determining whether a fighters credentials are worthy of ranking. The ref was the person to blame for the unsatisfactory ending in that fight.
Froch should have been top-10 p4p a long time ago. The ******ed thing is places like the ring having Broner and Canelo above him. That's not bashing on Broner because of this loss either, his wins aren't anywhere near as good as Froch's. Same thing goes for Canelo... how can anyone possibly consider his resume better than Froch's...
These things are about exposure, Europeans always have to work harder for recognition than Americans that have the hype train behind them.

it takes a lot for a british fighter to get in that list, it's not like american fighters who get in for beating a couple of journeymen midgets
so you know it's well deserved
