Comments Thread For: Carl Froch's Stock is Recognized in The Ring's 100

Carl "The Cobra" Froch has joined an elite group of British fighters after breaking into the Pound-For-Pound Top Ten in The Ring 100: Ranking The World's Best Fighters list for 2013. Froch defended his WBA and IBF Super middleweight titles with a ninth-round stoppage of domestic rival George Groves in November to close out the year and The Ring's ranking boost is an early Christmas present for the Nottingham-based boxer.

For a 36 year old man, Froch is remarkable, and I've had him in my P4P top 10 for a long time. Despite his performance against Groves, the old battle worn warrior still came out on top against a young hungry lion. Great fighter and an excellent ambassador to the sport.

Sorry but how the f*** is Froch in the P4P top 10?! He got schooled by Ward and Dirrell. Got bullied and bossed by Groves until the ref saved his bacon and is now running from a lucrative rematch. His biggest achievement is beating Bute, who anyone who knew boxing knew was a hypejob. Sorry, to be fair, his best performance was probably beating a prime and game Pascal in a war - that was good.

              Well deserved.

Most of the haters in here had Broner in their top 10, so they should really pipe the f down.

I could see if they had Froch in the top 10 after the Bute and Kessler wins, but dropped him after the Groves fight. The ring isn't real anymore anyway,so who cares.

LOL The Ring has Kell Brook as 4 in the welterweight division rankings......... I think that says it all about the rankings. BTW Maidana is not in the top 10 lol
