it's interesting how easily such a thing can be missed (not saying this was the case here, just in regards to Conte's tweets and that article), cutmen are always using q-tips, there's no way of even suspecting such a thing unless a fighter's nose isn't bleeding and the trainers continue to shove q-tips up his nose. Conte said he suspected Clottey of doing this verus Pacquiao. I think all trainers know about it tho and its probably just one of those accepted insider things in boxing.

They are not cotton swabs. They are way too stubby. He also clearly places one in the napkin, which wouldnt make sense if it was cotton.

As for why he has more than 1? Perhaps if he lost it, they are small after all.
