Well that's yet to be seen, but Broner can't all of a sudden do something we have never seen him do. How do you know he took Maidana lightly? Or didn't prepare properly? I hate when boxing fans say **** that they have no proof of.

According to Broner, he had the BEST camp of his life and took Maidana very seriously. He's just never seen the world class level of Maidana.

Stop taking credit away from the victor, and talking about things you are just assuming.
    1, he's 24 years old

2, I've been watching his extracurricular activities and excessive weight gain

    3, I follow boxing

I hate when guy say **** about me based on their imagined assumptions which they have absolutely no proof of, and being on this site as long as I have, I know you assume a lot and you are more often than not wrong.

I think for this fight he was just too full of himself, underestimated Maidana, and didn't prepare seriously enough, on top of Maidana being a monster that's constantly improving and who's rampaging through everybody right now.

I'm 100% sure broner is going to win his next fight and 100% sure he's going to get another belt.
His reflexes and speed looked s*** against Maidana lol. He's sh**

You said that he didn't train hard and didn't take Maidana seriously. You don't know either of these things. Never been inside his training camp, I doubt you have ever been to any training camp.

He was ripped, looked phenomenal at weigh in and definitely trained hard for this fight.

He was out classed, Maidana is a world class fighter on a level Broner has never seen.

I agree with this. It's a common misconception that just because you work hard and take things seriously, success is promised.

Yea, I mean the shell is supposed to counter the right hand perfectly, not leave you exposed to it.
Maidana was throwing a lot of looping overhand rights right over Broners shoulder. Is the overhand right possibly the best punch to penetrate the philly shell?

Good question because the philly shell is made to primarily counter the right hand. If you remember correctly, everyone claimed that Floyd would have problems with lefties because they would pose this problem. Of course we know Floyd can deal with lefties.

If you do the philly shell properly, it's made to counter the right hand because you roll the right hand, hide your counter right and land when the opponent isn't expecting.

The punch that is best against the shell, is the jab. Cotto showed that against Floyd, but was open when he himself threw his right hand. He was hurt when he threw a right hand, Floyd countered him with the right uppercut which is also very risky in the shell.

The difference is Broner was paying too much attention to the right hand and was hurt by the left hook. Which you should be ready for because your right elbow is covering your body and your right hand is on your chin.

He fell for the feints to the body, and Maidana simply turned the jab to the body over as a hook to the head.

Nice observations. Broner was getting blasted by the left hook. The first knockdown was by a left hook in fact. And what is crazy is that before the left hook landed, Broner actually DROPPED his hands! He didn't try to catch it and he knew a punch was coming.

The second knockdown was a double left hook. First one hurt him, the second one knocked him back and down.

Funny thing is, in the shell you should never get hit with left hooks because your right hand should be stuck to your chin and right elbow tight on the body.

Broner fell for one of the oldest tricks in boxing, setting up the headshot with the body shot. In this case it was a jab, that was turned into a hook.

Morales was great at this, he caught Danny Garcia many times with it, but he threw the jab to the head, right hand to the body and then back up with the left hook.

If Broner would have been more disciplined in his shell, he would have never been hit with these. I think he did it because Maidana's body work was hurting him, so he had to pay attention to the body shots. Against Paulie, he wasn't even paying them no mind.
