Chino was hurt by an illegal punch after the bell with his guard down. The ref was disgustingly for Broner in that fight. Should have took a point from broner too. For what? Take your pick. Forearms, pushing the head down, or hitting after the bell.
cole knew he should've taken a point away from all the **** broner was pulling. i did think he was doing chino favors in the 12th by stopping the action twice to give him a little more time to clear his head.

      Not surprised

Alvarez went 12 rounds BOXING with the best fighter pound for pound in the world. He wasn't beat up, wasn't embarrassed. Yes he lost but Alvarez has skills and has a much brighter future that Broner. Can you tell me all the guys at 154 who would beat Alvarez?

Kid will be back, he has the talent, hope he gets the rematch. It was one hell of a fight.

We'll see how he bounces back from this.
We will see. It takes character to come back from that type of loss.

It takes a whole lot of mental fortitude discipline and character to do that. I'm not saying broner isn't athletic or has a skill set but his biggest weakness is his character. It's that little guy in the back of your head telling you what to do with your life and believe it or not it shows in the ring. How you can take sacrifices, handle losses, diet properly when your not fighting etc.. Broner got beat down tore up hurt and completely walked through last night. AB got humiliated and humbled on the grand stage for the whole world to see last night. His one moment for me to see that he had some character left (or started growing some )and that he was going to make this a great learning experience he blew by running out and not doing a post fight interview. A loss like this takes a big chunk out of you. When manny got ko I knew it was a lucky punch but I also knew he had the mental toughness to bounce back. Does anyone see that in broner?

AB always said when he gets pushed we will see another side of him. I saw none of that last night no footwork he claimed to have and a mediocre Floyd imitation that he either needs to go to the mayweather boxing club and learn properly or ditch all together and get back to his fighting style thts natural to him. When the poop hit the fan for him you never saw him shell up every time he got caught is when he was trying to look like Floyd. Only time he won rounds is when he dug deep and fought like he does naturally and coming at you. But by the time he adjusted in round 5 it was too late. He already took a beating been knocked down and gone mentally.

AB looked good physically at this weight I must say. But sucking weight and beating little guys masked a lot of problems masked problems for him. I don't think he should move down in weight because it's the easy way out. Rathar see him develop a skill set so if he ever is pushed he can fall back on that.

My tips for here on out.
The media is going to crucify you and you will be the laughing stock of boxing for a long time character development is needed to handle that. Please learn some.

Make a decision of either trying to master the mayweather shell and developing footwork . Or by expanding and doing what is natural to you.

Stop trying to be a rapper. Your most successful at boxing which gives you your fame in the first place go back and give it 100% and stop treating it like a part time job. The whole time he was on tour Maidiana was in the gym and it showed.

I hope Broner can bounce back from this and I actually pray his jaw wasn't broken.

But I'm a realist and I don't see him making a successful come back. Does anyone else feel like this too?
      Good points man.

Bronner showed how well he understands distance (in a general sense) when he caught that first hook from Maidena with his hands down, going straight back.
Thanks, again it's because I learn under a great trainer who has really shown me a different style than what I'm used to. We learn from each other.

he belongs at 140, not 147

although he sucks so im not sure it matters much where he fights
Height does not mean your weight, when will boxing fans understand this? Pac and Cotto are the same height, do you think Pac is as big as Cotto? LOL come on guys. Broner is a muscular, thick guy, he is not a 140lber, he's a WW.

He will be back. He just underestimated Maidana by taking him lightly and he paid dearly for it. Maidana was very focused, prepared and determined for this fight and it showed. It was a victory well deserved for him.

From my observation, Adrien fought the wrong fight strategically against El Chino. He basically fought a flat-footed bout the entire night against him and it backfired. Marcos is a huge puncher/slugger and Broner made it very easy for him to hit because he wasn't moving his feet.

Lastly, Broner lacks the size and power at 147 to walk down and back up naturally larger opponents with power; As was evidenced against El Chino. He allowed the much larger and slower Marcos to constantly beat him to punch which was a mistake. In order for Adrien Broner to be successful at this higher weight class, he is going to have to rely more on speed and combination punching and less on punching power as he had done previously at the lower weight classes.
He can't change something he just is. Broner has never had footwork.

To his credit, AB did try to go out on his shield in rounds 11 and 12th. But by doing so he took some more flush shots to the head that stiffened his legs, but he probably edged out those rounds.

I think he's asking for a rematch based his success in the last 2 rounds. He fails to realize that he would have been hit more with harder shots had he been aggressive early in the fight and might have gotten KO'd.

Lol this is a funny thread broner is definite hype job but to suggest Canelo isn't a hype job as well is laughable. Canelo had his chance to orove he was on a high level as a boxer and he did the worst against Floyd since the Marquez fight. Canelo lost every round and was scared to let his hands go. I'm sorry but Canelo displayed no skills or heart in the mayweather fight he was there for a paycheck.

Never lose an opportunity to diss a Mexican fighter hu? Canelo went 12 rounds with the best lb 4 lb fighter in the world BOXING. Yes he lost and yes he lost every round, but Canelo's skill is 10X what Broners is.

Who, outside of Mayweather at 154 clearly beats Canelo? Lara? Angulo? Cotto? He gives them all hell.

Don't confuse an overhyped wannabe Mayweather with a great young fighter who's future is bright.

Canelo showed all round ability against Trout and other fighters, Broner just showed handspeed nothing else.

He wasn't ready for Mayweather, if he had the gameplan that would have given himself the best chance, (fighting aggressive with high pressure instead of boxing) he could have taken a bit of a beating that would have knocked his confidence and taken years of his career.

                    Broner most definitely has talent.

He has great speed, great reflexes, Killer instinct, heart, and decent power.

I think for this fight he was just too full of himself, underestimated Maidana, and didn't prepare seriously enough, on top of Maidana being a monster that's constantly improving and who's rampaging through everybody right now.

I'm 100% sure broner is going to win his next fight and 100% sure he's going to get another belt.

Canelo can't beat Mayweather that way because Canelo is not a pressure fighter. He's a counter puncher with power and good boxing.

Well that's yet to be seen, but Broner can't all of a sudden do something we have never seen him do. How do you know he took Maidana lightly? Or didn't prepare properly? I hate when boxing fans say **** that they have no proof of.

According to Broner, he had the BEST camp of his life and took Maidana very seriously. He's just never seen the world class level of Maidana.
