I don't doubt that Broner works hard, so do many fighters. Margarito, Pac, JMM all had legendary camps.

The difference in Floyd is that there's only ONE Floyd like Paulie said. Floyd has it all, he can move, stand and ****, fight on the inside, has amazing defense and is incredibly boxing smart.

Broner was propped up, that's what's sad about the money that's involved in boxing today. I thought Canelo was propped up as well, but he managed to live up to the hype and shows he is a great young fighter. Broner just beat up on small guys, real small.

People think he went up in weight, but he didn't, that's a lie. He was HUGE for guys like Demarco, Reese and even Ponce DeLeon. He was really struggling to make weight, and against Reese, just paid the fine.

At 147 he will discover it's a whole new ball game. I'm sure Showtime isn't all that happy with this loss, they were counting on Broner being another PPV star.

I can't see him beating Guerrero, Thurman, Garcia if he moves up, or even Ortiz, given his performance tonight.

Very concise and well written. With regards to broner, I feel a stint at 140 would not have hurt him. Like Floyd he would have been at his peak both physically and in terms of his skills. Broner is the biggest hype job because not only did he fool fans, but perhaps his handlers as well who moved him too fast as a result. The PPV model is also to blame for this myopic behaviour in terms of handlers where fighters are not allowed to develop at their own pace, after all having michael buffer mention division after division which you've 'conquered' sells PPVs.

Broner on the ropes eats shot after shot after shot. Floyd was barely touched when Ortiz took him there, though he ate a few shots in that 4th round on the ropes, and Floyd even outfought Cotto from the ropes at times.

When you consider what Alexander did to Maidana, Broner can't be ranked anywhere close to a top 10 fighter right now.

I think Mayweather-Maidana is the only fight that's a good legit fight for Floyd in May that makes sense and is realistic.
Hell yea he can! Garcia and Maidana are really the only 2 deserving worthy fighters for floyd. They both earned their shot for a floyd payday.

Agreed. Maidana takes a big jump up.

I hope Floyd comes to his senses, see's Maidana made a big impact tonight, and fights him. Let Khan fight Guerrero, Ortiz, or someone like that to get relevant AND legit again.
