No broner's defense is good against technical and methiodical fighters. His shoulder roll is good or atleast decent. But against awkward fighters that defense malfunctions.

Now Mayweather's is obviously better on many levels. But an awkward style would also be the style to beat mayweather a guy that throws punches from weird angles. That's why mayweather said augustus was his toughest fight.

Lol i've been saying it for a while, Broner is not defensive at all. Like at all. He gets tagged left and right. He's highly offensive. In fact I predicted he would beat Maidana because of his offense and Maidana's lack of defense.

How many times do people need to see Broner get caught clean, fight after fight, before they stop talking about his great defense. He's got a Zab Judah defense. he knows some moves that make it look like there might be some amazing skill level, then he gets tagged.

Pretty much this^^^^^. To even call Broner a defensive fighter is an insult to defence.

That was my thinking. I figured he'd look better defensively here because Maidana is slow. Not so much. Just relentless.

No, he's just not good defensively.

Got tagged consistently but De Leon, Pauli, even Rees touched him the little he was in that fight.

He's not very good defensively that's been apparent to me for a while.
