I think part of the reason broner kept pushing is the ref failed to break them up properly. If broner didn't push off after the clinch he could get hit. Now if the rwf did his job and broke them up after they clinched for 7 seconds broner wouldn't have had to push off as much. And I'm not hearing the elbows and ****. Boxing is a dirty sport. You get away with what you can. Like maidana hitting low. None of this negates this being a hell of a fight. Maidana got a hard earned and well deserved victory. But lots of options for both fighters.

And i'm sorry but thurman would beat the crap out of maidan. Broner played into maidanas style. Thurman is a hard hitting animal who uses his jab. Sky is the limit for him.

My prediction: with the WBC naming Pacman as the No. 1 contender to Floyd's welterweight title. As long as Arum has anything to do with it the fight will not happen, therefore Floyd will vacate his WBC welterweight title AFTER he secures a Maidana fight this May for his new strap.

no sport, including boxing, is supposed to be 'dirty' -- it's a hard, at times brutal sport but like all others, it has rules that are supposed to be enforced -- that's why there are refs -- my point was that in THIS fight, the ref basically ignored Broner's infractions such as kneeing, pushing off, elbow pushing -- a lot of which were deliberate and meant to hurt Maidana outside of the rules -- yes, the ref at times was a little slow to break up the fighters but that doesn't give Broner the right to 'do whatever he can get away with' -- a foul is a foul, no matter when it's done and should at least be acknowledged as such by the ref which it wasn't many times last night

I just watched the fight now because of my cable package in Canada. I actually managed to remain unspoiled. Great fight! I have to eat some crow because I was sure that if it went to the cards it would be either a legit Broner win, or a gift for Broner. I was wrong, and the judges did right. Though the commentators seemed so in love with Broner they kind of failed to notice he was losing the fight big up until the last few rounds. Still, a great fight, and Chino winning made my night. (Tonight. I blame Canada.)

Styles make fights, & AB was made to order for El-Chino. Bad footwork, clowning, and most of all not respecting you foe, all leads to a ass kiking!

Even though AB wants a rematch, does he "really wants a rematch?"

At least Thurman has footwork. He setup JSK with the jab, and moved once he felt "Telemundo/Univison's power.

I hope GBP does not Thurman/Maidonna. Keith will run circles around him like Alexander did, even will stop him in the later rds. That's a bad matchup!
pretty much broner never showed he could hang with big dogs!

to last him a LONG TIME!!!

**** Ring magazine ! that is all what I can say !

American boxing lacks the real champions after Roy Jones and Tyson ! they only have Ward whom they don't support !

Broner is not very much different from Mayweather, both are celebrities more than real boxing champions !
