      • How did Maidana put it? "The the a cow met a bull" Broner was in over his head from the get go. It really wasn't much of a shock to me. I have been saying it here on BS for quite a while now Broner is simply not a WW. He has no power at the weight it was obvious from the Paulie fight. Even If Broner had beat Maidana tonight there was no where for him to go at WW he would have lost to either Thurman or Porter. Broner is in Berto's class as far as I am concerned and Berto might even beat Broner.

What I was surprised at is Broner and his teams weak game plan. How are you going to try and fight Maidana the same way you fought Gavin Rees? And then when Maidana did get tired Broner couldn't even throw punches he looked worse then Zab Judah did last weekend in spots..

Maidana came out with a fury in the first round, throwing hard punches with both hands. During the second round, Maidana landed a big left hand on Broner's chin and the champion went down. Broner got up and he was very hurt. He used every tactic possible to make it out of the round as Maidana punished him with punches to the head and body. [Click Here To Read More][/ QUOTE]

Adrien Broner wasn't ready for this type of fighter at this point in his career; now I want to see Marcos Maidana against Keith Thurman. Thurman would beat his you know what.
You sound like one of those who picked Broner to win by KO. Since Broner failed, I guess Thurman is your new guy now. SMH. Just congratulate the man for exposing your boy for conning you all to think he is Floyd Mayweather. By the way, Broner will never be ready at any point in his career for a fighter like Maidana. Maidana brings too much thunder, too much intestinal fortitude and he is actually skilled in a weird way.

He got his ass kicked mostly because he's not a welterweight, which I've been saying. And unlike the guy he immatates. His skill set isn't elite enough to overcome being completely outgunned from a size and power standpoint. He can go one of two ways. He can let this completely derail him and go down as a hype job. Or, he dust himself off. Take is ass back down to lightweight. And concentrate more on being a fighter than a celebrity. Part of me says he's a clown who's world was rocked to night and he'll never recover. But as a fan of his. I like how he stood in in the championship rounds, completely outgunned, and risked getting KO'd to try and win. That shows he has some character and deep down, he's not a total dip****.
I hear you cuz, that's why I gave you the Green K. I know there are ton of folk on here who really only praise boxers and never knock them. So props to you on that as well.

              • I gotta say that wasn't the same Maidana we're accustomed to seeing that was a bigger and much stronger Maidana. Maidana should've had a 10th round KO over Khan but the ref was on the payroll. Once again cong**** to Maidana, great win!!!!

oh the excuse will be "he's not a welter"...I think even at 140 maidana still puts on a beating...broners defense isn't as great at some claimed and him beating all those smaller guys meant nothing(gavin rees, perez, ponce,)
