Abner mares aint as good as he was hyped up to be i called this a long time ago not saying he cant beat gonzalez but going down like that in rd 1 to a guy u were supposed to beat isnt the makeing of a star thats the makeing of a amir khan like fighter but he got exposed sooner!!!!!!

Mares could not recover because Jhonny threw a HUGE bomb and landed.. It happens. Mares was not thinking JG was going to come out like that. I for one think Mares will dominate the rematch. He has faced much better competition.

Mares has to box his a** off in this rematch. Sometimes Mares telegraphs his punches and gets caught. He can't afford to do that with Gonzalez or he will get blitz again.
