Brandon Rios fails drug test following loss to Manny Pacquiao

Rios did get caught by a post fight urine test. But the post-fight urine tests done by Commissions like NSAC, is way different form the urine tests done by VADA or USADA. VADA and USADA's urine tests are way more strict, as they test for many substances NSAC and other Commissions do not test for.

Pacquaio, prior to the Rios fight, passed the weak Commission urine tests. With Rios, that was the first time he passed a strict urine tests.

As a side note, NSAC now has a new random drug testing program where they do strict tests just like VADA and USADA. But it's brand new and has only been used for Bradley vs. Marquez so far.

Good post. CIR testing has been done for urine AND blood samples to whomever has participated in USADA/VADA testing and was much stricterr than the NSAC's old tests.

Techliam-do you find it the least bit strange that Manny's opponent tests positive the 1st time Manny asks for PED testing, while employing the same S&C coach Manny had?

If not, does it seem strange that a drug used for making weight would not be detected by VADA during the pre fight testing but comes up on the urine test post fight?

Rios is a cheater, as I said in my 1st post. That said I just can't understand why the advanced blood/urine testing doesn't catch a drug used to make weight that the standard post fight urine test does.

I know I am one of the most outspoken floyd fans on NSB. But that doesn't make sense.

It is possible he took this supplements just before the fight, hence no VADA screen testing positive.

I understand as one of the other Floyd fans you have to discredit TR and Manny all the time, but I wish you didn't as we all get dragged into the label of "worst fanbase in sports"...

The thing is this. Anything that works gets banned and placed on the drugs list.

If an ingredient, a stimulant works and say gives you some increased energy and focus they're likely to ban it and put it down on their silly list.

Lets not go on like DMAA is some anabolic steroid or anything like that.

Whatever he used may not of even contained DMAA. A lot of these supplements aren't screened. It could of come into contamination or anything.

It really is like failing a drug test for caffeine. They can literally ban whatever they want at any given time.

DMAA is extremely dangerous, its dosing can get you into some serious ****, a lot of people got serious health problems while using that stuff.
