Rios landed some, but very little, and that was going at Pacquiao aggressively. Margarito was huge and never stopped coming, he threw a ton of punches. To say "they landed, therefore a guy who sits back and counterpunches will land more" makes no sense.

Bradley didn't use smart boxing and counter punching to convince anyone of anything. He was one the fortunate end of one of the most baffling robberies in recent years, and landed very little of any note on a Pacquiao half-assing it. Barrera survived the second fight because he's a great, tough fighter that fought dirty and fought smarter than Danny Garcia will probably ever be capable of.

I'm almost 100% confident Pacquiao would have an easy night with Garcia, whose defense would not be good enough to avoid Pacquiao's punches and would not be fast enough to land his own. One thing we did see against Matthysse that's relevant is how much trouble Danny had landing on Lucas for the first half of that fight, a Matthysse you say is there to be hit.
Just like Donaire was 1 win away from being an ATG? And Rigo was just an amateur who was gonna get flattened? And How Danny was gonna get steamrolled by Lucas? We got an expert right here

Some of guys are overrating Mannys speed still. God speed? He throws a lot and takes a lot of steps but he aint no Meldrick Taylor thats for sure.

If you're saying I said the bold you're wrong. Maybe having some fun with the Rigo fans, but I made it clear the second the fight was announced that I was worried about the fight for Donaire, and if he was anything less than the best he's ever been he would probably lose.

        Pacquiao would absolutely batter Garcia.

Good chin + bad defence vs Pacquiao = recipe for disaster.

          The punching bag Rios survived.

Garcia has the timing to stand in the center of the ring and set traps, he doesn't have to do much movement as Pacquiao will inevitably lose patience and feed into his counters, history has shown us this repeatedly. Garcia is more than capable, don't kid yourselves.

Exactly, he 'survived'. Still got absolutely battered though. Garcia is obviously a class above Rios, but if Pacquiao fights the way he did against Rios and doesn't try force the KO, he outboxes Garcia with ease, it would probably be another shutout.

Garcia would have the puncher's chance. If Pacquiao gets impatient and tries to go for the KO or trades with Garcia, Garcia would have a small chance of causing an upset.

We'll never see the fight anyway. Promotion rivalries etc.
