I don't think Rigo's power is the issue, it's his defensive mind-frame that won't allow him to fight for the KO. He's great at what he does, all he has to do is travel and he'd probably dominate the 118-122 divisions.

You're assuming that it's a choice. No one likes getting hit: limited skills forces boxers to take risks. Floyd doesn't need risks to win; neither does Rigo.

You think Brandon Rios, Mike Alvarado, and others like that enjoy getting hit? If they could avoid shots, they would. But they're not Floyd or Rigo so they have to bring it and say how much they "love it."

As well as I'm sure rigo would love to headline a ppv making 3 mil like rios just finished doing. At this rate rigos biggest payday is going to be the one he got against donaire. Plus he doesn't have the mouth that floyd has in order to sell without having an entertaining style.

Getting hit is one thing, getting hit excessively is another. It's not so simple as maintaining a "safe distance". How many fighters can you name that are as hard to hit as as Rigo, regardless of style?

that's an oxymoron. he's hard to hit because of his style so you can't say regardless of style.

there's not a lot that's as hard to hit just like there's not a lot with rigo's style.

WIth the talent that Rigo has, his career is going nowhere.

He might become champion but he won't make much money like the elite ones.

Plus, his style is not good for the sports. Too much defense and almost no offense because he is too scared to risk.

He can't even speak English.
