Rigondeaux is just not a main event guy unless matched against a very solid known fighter. He is going to have to be on under cards and make what he can make if he wants to box in the US (he could try Japan or Europe also). It sucks for him that he has all this stuff that works against (small, not much of a fan base, doesn't speak English, not the most enthralling style to average people) him but not everyone can be a rockstar he is going to have to adjust his expectations or something.

Only way a card takes place is in Miami is if Rigo headlines. But HBO is not going to let Rigo headline anymore. A Rigo Miami card would have to take place on ESPN.

#1 isn't a guarantee because Donaire looked like **** in his last fight and may take an L in the near future.

After that its undercards, co-features and travelling to Europe, Japan, South America or wherever.

Luckily its 2013 and we can watch fights all over the world.

Well HBO did it right by putting an all action fight in the co feature (Tapia/Kirkland). But I think they need to have a co mainevent. Put another star on the card with Rigondeaux.

I have no issue with him being on TV and making his living as he is very good at boxing but dude should not be headlining there is literally no reason to have him as a main event guy right now.
