I wonder how much money he's actually expecting to make though.
I see him making a minimum of 300k...but nothing over 500k.
    He really can't expect much
Golovkin is the guy taking the pay cut and you don't hear him complaining

If you want to make the fight bigger,, how the hell does fighting a guy you already beat make it any bigger.....

Murray just running out at the mouth, trying to cover up the fact that he ducked GGG in feb in morroco...

Murray is as big as he is going to get,, he already fought and got robbed vs the champ serg,,, So i dont know any other fights that would make him any bigger....

He ducked GGG,, plain and simple, his own promoter said the fight was done, and then murray backed out,, now if your promoter wants the fight, the other guy wants the fight, you are offered the fight, and the fight doesnt happen, its a duck

      GGG got murray shook

I'm actually expecting him to fight Geale in Monaco since Murray is the interim and Geale is behind them. Unless Sturm calls, I see these guys facing off. Both capable of winning and in neutral territory.

But both guys expecting money... the loser will take a significant pay cut and miss out

GGG wasn't as big of a draw a year ago. He's made huge strides since dispensing of Macklin and Stevens.

I'd be surprised if GGG didn't fight a big name in late April on HBO. I can see Murray turning down 300k or so, but the money should be closer to 500k, maybe even a bit more, by April.

2014 should be GGG's chance to shine against at least 2 opponents equal to or better than Macklin (Macklin was/is a top 10 160lber).

He did go life and death with martinez who is the lineal champ, and many felt he won the fight so he does have sum monetary value..

              But he didn't win it.
And he got paid a good amount for that fight against the lineal champ in his home... so he was bound to get paid a lot there.
Just like when he fought Sturm.
I have no idea how much he was paid both times, but it was probably 6 digits

He can't go expecting the same amount, but Golovkin is the best open money option for him.

Tell K2 to get that money up.

FWIW I think it's likely we'll see Murray - GGG in April. Murray's gotta get through the fight this W/E - curiously it is a rematch for Murray but Khomitsky is also one of GGGs early victims. Murray then has a fight on the Monaco under which I wouldn't imagine will be a big name (though Geale would be great I think we'd have heard by now) - two clear wins should be enough to build Murrays confidence and buffer him against a likely GGG loss, and I don't see it being a coincidence that Murray and GGG are on the same card.

Most likely HBO wanted the Murray fight in the US anyway - I'm kinda assuming that Martin has had time to sort his visa out - I think it was in about August he spoke about visiting the US embassy to get the ball rolling.

Likely we won't get any confirmation 'til after Monte Carlo for the obvious reasons, but I do think this one's gonna happen.

At the end of the day Murray is his own guy, and title shots don't come along every day - if he wants it, but feels that Ricky Hatton is keeping him away from it, he should walk. Murrays a tough young guy who's never been stopped, and gave the lineal champ as much as he could handle. I don't actually see anyone in the division with a much better shot at GGG than he does.

he didn't win because of serg's home cooking

They already offered him fights in Canada and Monaco where his visa wouldn't be an issue.

What where the purses he got against Martinez and Sturm?
Martinez the lineal MW champ and Sturm, one of the biggest fighters from Germany?

Murray will make a minimum 300k. Unless Sturm or Martinez paid him 2.5 or more, nothing really to complain about.

Seriously, homefield for both and they're champs...wtf is Murray expecting....a million?
When the Monaco fight was being talked about it was reported that the offer was 500K. Most important Murray is the god damn mandatory!!
