  • Comments Thread For: Keith Thurman Wants His Chance To Beat Adrien Broner

Keith Thurman is fully focused on Jesus Soto Karass, yet very interested in what’ll occur after they fight Saturday night in San Antonio.

The undefeated welterweight from Clearwater, Fla., expects Adrien Broner to defeat Marcos Maidana in the main event of Showtime’s four-fight broadcast from Alamodome. And if Cincinnati’s Broner (27-0, 22 KOs) successfully defends his WBA welterweight title against Argentina’s Maidana (34-3, 31 KOs), Thurman hopes he gets the opportunity to beat Broner in his next fight. Thurman knows what he is talking about but I think he's too big at WW for AB to fight. It would no doubt be a humbling experience for AB if it did happen.

Get it done. Thurman is a Haymon fighter too. He has an obligation to look out for the best interests of both fighters. Thurman is due a title shot should he win on Saturday.

Don't agree with the bold. If a welterweight is "too big" for Broner he should have never came to 147. He should have stayed his a$$ at 135 and continue draining so he could beat up smaller guys.

That's a high risk low reward fight for Broner. I see them waiting for Thurman to build his name up a little more before fighting him.
