  • Comments Thread For: BoxNation To Launch Dedicated HD Channel in 2014

LONDON - BoxNation has heard the calls of its loyal subscribers - and yet again answered - with the launch of a new dedicated high definition channel, BoxNation Live HD.

The investment in a dedicated HD channel follows BoxNation’s burgeoning success since its launch in 2011, with the channel continuing to go from strength-to-strength.

The ‘Channel of Champions’ is set to debut its HD broadcast early next year, starting with heavyweight hitman Dereck Chisora’s ring return on Saturday 8th February, live from the Copper Box Arena.

nice! glad to see its at no extra cost because they wanted an extra tenner a month to activate it on the upstairs multiroom box.

Good to hear but the channel is going to struggle unless Warren starts putting on better cards, and he's lost a lot of fighters to Hearn/Sky.

They should've built up a better back catalogue by now as well, and repeats of previous cards should be done like Sky do it, showing mostly just the fights and some discussion, but not the entire build up and hours of two guys sitting the studio trying to kill time with uninteresting chit chat.

Yep, better late than never though I guess. I just want to know how much extra it will cost though. The current tenner a month is good value, I hope we don't get shafted for HD. Sometimes Boxnation SD looks like a 240p video on Youtube.

I hope Boxnation succeeds and they can put some more money into the production values, Sky presentations of big US fights are on another level because they've got so much money behind them.

              Sorry for rambling, horrendous hangover

You didn't read the article huh? I forgive you since you're hungover.

The HD service will not cost anything extra for existing subscribers.

would be cool if you didn't have to buy another subscription for multi-room...
