I agree. Some people seem to think that Broner (himself included) is this phenom Mayweather clone. He wishes he was as good as Mayweather. Truth is, Maidana will be the toughest fighter Broner has ever faced. I just don't think Broner has the power he had at lightweight. Sure, he's fast and flashy, but Maidana is a hard-working, hard-hitting fighter. This Saturday, "The problem" may just get solved.

Maybe the author was referring to Zab as being enduring, as ****roaches are believed to be able to survive a nuclear bomb after everything else dies. Or maybe he was being an insulting, disrespectful ******. Either way, it was a poor choice of words. Zab has been a pro for 18 years. He was already a champ when Paulie was just coming up. It's said that all fighters have only so many fights in them. It's just Zab's time to hang it up.

So many seem to forget that Campillo schooled Cloud and Cleverly beat Bellew, and all of Kovalev's opponents had some momentum or a streak of wins entering the ring against him. That cannot be said of Cloud (should've had two straight losses entering the Stevenson fight), Dawson (had just been badly stopped by a guy who doesn't stop people), or Boone (3 straight losses entering the Stevenson rematch; stopped in only 2 by Kovalev a couple bouts earlier).
It probably has to do with the more recognizable names of Dawson and Cloud, even though they had been previously exposed. The Boone thing stands out as an avenged loss.

I get it, but you can't tell the tone when it's put into print (which looks worse). Fitzsimmons, being a "writer" knew what he was doing......

I agree... Lyle always lets his (fairly average) writing down with scathing, unnecessary comments.

                    Have some respect.
