Pac is not going to launch the initiative himself... even if he is pushing for something like that. That's politics. I wouldn't automatically assume Manny didn't have a hand in it though.. that's also politics.

OK then if it doesn't have his support why doesn't he make a public statement saying he's willing to pay his taxes like every other citizen and he shouldn't be treated differently to anyone else?

I am not clear on this but Philippines version of IRS, the BIR is saying Pac owes them money for fights in 2008-09. Now, since Pac paid taxes in the US, he doesn't have to be tax in Philippines or something like that. Some law or regulation by the Philippine government. So, why would Pac pay his taxes in Philippines if he already did in the US. So, according to that Philippine law/regulation, he doesn't have to. Now, the current case with the IRS, then that is another story/thread.

Its a political agenda, Pac supported the former president of the Philippines. The former and current president are opponents. The current president might not be at hand at this agenda but its oneof his people in his administration that started it.

Here is an example of politics in Philippines, local one in my hometown in Philippines(i lived here in the US now for 26 years but always in contact with relatives): The former mayor of my hometown is running again after last holding the position about 12-15 years ago. The current vice mayor run for mayor. The 2 were going head to head. The vice mayor won the election. Now, i have a family friend who supported the former mayor. That family friend owns a gas station but is renting the land it stands and owned by the town government. Well, after taking office as the new mayor by the vice mayor, she was told here rent will end in a year. The new mayor then told the police in the town to pick up the allies of the former mayor to his office. I was worried about this cuz one of them was my uncle. They let them go afterwards. Another is there is a private cement company that takes out cement from a mountain to be use in constructing of buildings. The town government is a small part owner of that company. Private truck owners hauls the cements from the town to Manila City. The mayor then declared that truck owners who didn't support them can't do business anymore with the cement company. Good thing that didn't push thru.

I know what i wrote is different from Pac's case but just showing you an example of Philippine politics.

Well did he have overseas PPV in Philippines? if so ...

Maybe that would be under BIR jurisdiction and the taxes they are asking for.

But for sure paying US taxes would be PPV in American buys, as IRS cannot ask for PPV tax from Filipino buys inside the Philippines.

I don't think he have ppv in Philippines. I don't even think there is such ppv in Philippines.

I know that Pac fights are shown for free in Philippines.

Compare to the other tax evaders in Philippines, Pac is a saint. One of the richest business men in Philippines, a tsinoy(Fil-Chinese), is a known tax evader but the BIR hasn't done crap. And this tsinoy is way richer than Pac.

Before i say anymore i want to make it clear I know it doesn't effect me so it doesn't matter if i were to say yes or no.

Now on principle I don't care if he brought some excitement into my life. A lot of people do, hell eddie murphy does when I watch big mommas house. Is that an excuse to not pay taxes? So a wealthy elite can get richer why the rest of us suckers have to pay up and struggle? Nope.
