I would like to see Canelo train w/ Roach or Nacho in the future. If he's going to have a chance against the likes of Lara, GGG, etc. he's going to need an elite offense. I think his defense is already as good as it will get, time to work on his glaring weakness: dat O.

not impossible.... tell me how did p-will look after the maravilla KO? did he look good to you?

paul's best days would've been behind him when he fought canelo. there's a reason WHY they made that fight. paul williams was not the same anymore

edit: btw im talking before the floyd fight, when he scheduled to figt those dudes

Interesting matchup, won't mind this at all with a nice undercard.

Lara hit him pretty flush and there was no indications that his chin was cracked. The KO vs Martinez was a combination of speed and power. Speed that Canelo doesn't posses. And btw Canelo isn't a southpaw either.

I hope not, I want Cotto vs Canelo but I know that won't happen. Angulo would get schooled by the ginger.

fair enough. lara doesn't hit as hard as canelo though. i'm not saying canelo would've ripped through pwill. but people on here now are so harsh on fighters coming off a loss, and praise them too much after wins. i can tell u right now everyone probably thought canelo was a unstoppable force to be reckoned with before he was scheduled to fight floyd. now after he loses, people act like he's a bum. yes canelo isn't the best technical fighter and not the quickest but he does have REAL power. the problem with is, he barely landed on trout and mayweather to show it. i think p4p, canelo is one of the hardest punchers inthe sport. call me crazy.

I guess this is the right move, but I'm not a believer in Canelo at all. I don't think he's a scrub but he isn't worth being considered for the p4p list, let alone being on it.

Wasn't impressed whatsoever by the Mosley or Trout performances, and of course not Floyd.

He's been built up to be a star and is still very early in his career so they can't put him in with another world class opponent like a Lara. They've invested too much money in him to get exposed again.

Where's your proof that Lara doesn't hit as hard or harder than Canelo? Lara had been fighting real JMW not LWs and JWWs. Lara has power AND speed.
