Comments Thread For: Malignaggi Open To Test Danny Garcia in Welter Debut

Former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi (33-5, 7KOs) is looking for much bigger things as the year closes. This past weekend, Malignaggi turned back the clock and dominated fellow former champ Zab Judah at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Now with powerful adviser Al Haymon by his side, Malignaggi wants the winner of the Adrien Broner and Marcos Maidana showdown, which takes place this weekend. But another fight that interests Malignaggi is a clash against WBA/WBC 140-pound champion Danny Garcia (27-0, 16KOs), who is likely heading to 147 next year. [Click Here To Read More]

If he lost to Cano not sure he could beat Garcia. But he could slice him up with his annoying feather dusters. Lol

I gotta be the worst fan ever. Always talking smack about fighters I like.

Hmmm I thought they were going to feed Paulie to Thurman. If he won he could get another shot at Broner. Paulie is a good test for Danny's first WW fight. Why not?

This is a great test, though paulie doesnt have alot of power he makes up for it with great heart and skills..if garcia is truly at the doorsteps of greatness he would need to beat paulie with no controversy, and be has it may paulie only gets beat by the best...nuff said

i'm really tired of these C+ fighters being the test for fighters. didn't garcia just test himself against crappy judah? why doesn't he test himself against someone relevant and on the upside like brook or porter? paulie has never beaten a good fighter in his career and he never will. he's had enough chances too.
