Canelo has no choice but to fight Lara

why does everyone assume that Canelo is worried about Lara in any kinda way, let alone beating scared? The kid has been a star for a long time. He just lost but it was to the best fighter of the world and he gained a ton of experince. Before that loss he just beat a slick Southpaw who is even bigger & maybe faster than Lara. He also saw that Lara struggled with Molina, Williams, and was just dropped twice by Pero.
As good as a pure boxer he is, Canelo is going to think that he's still not as good as Floyd so why should he worry? I think Canelo thinks he can kick Lara's asz. I dont think he has any fear of him. I think he feels the exact same way he did before the Trout fight when people thought he would duck Trout. I think he feels Lara cant hurt him and that he can knock Lara out.
Now Im not saying that you shouldnt feel that Lara is way better or that Lara would skool him. That is your choice but there is no way you should feel that Canelo fears him in any way. I dont think the Floyd loss bothers him in anyway in terms of not taking a tough fight next. I think he looks at it like he just fought the best so the next guy is a step down and he will winComment

The other options are fellow Mexicans, who are not known outside of Mexico. There is Kirkland, who will most likely lose.
Lara is at least gaining momentum. Look at all the threads about Lara. Who is on your mind for the Mexican superstar's next fight?Comment

Think about what you are saying. Canelo actually had a winning score card vs Mayweather (even though it's common knowledge that he got thoroughly out classed and shut out 10-2 or something of this nature).
What makes you think his handlers will put him in against any aggressive pressure fighters that could possible knock him out? Golden Boy will continue to put him in against guys that are safety first boxers so they can pay off the judges. As long as Canelo finishes on his feet, he will be given the W.Comment
