Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York - Anthony Dirrell had his moments to become the first member of his family to earn a world title, but despite knocking WBC super middleweight champion Sakio Bika down and seeing the Australian lose another point due to a foul, the judges ruled otherwise, with a draw verdict allowing Bika to retain his crown. The verdict read 116-110 Dirrell, 114-112 Bika, and 113-113. Bika’s record goes to 32-5-3 with 21 KOs. Dirrell, the brother of former Olympian Andre Dirrell, moves to 26-0-1 with 22 KOs. I really don't want to knock the guy but Dirrell just has one of those faces that says 'Man I don't want to be here'. Maybe that's his normal expression and it doesn't change inside and outside the ring, but you got Bika's face and you see a range of expressions and Dirrell's expression just doesn't change. -
I missed the fight but that shot Dirrell landed on Bika sounded brutal:

I thought bika should have won,, even with the knockdown and point deduction
i had it 8-4 bika, with final score being 114-112
Dirrell didnt do anything but the occasional hard shot,, rounds 3,5 were clearly his, you can say the 2nd, i gave it to bika,, then probably one more round late maybe 2,,,
I dont have a problem with a draw because of bika losing 2 points it makes a 7-5 card become a draw
but bika was clearly the better fighter, dirrell may be alittle more polished but in no way did he win more rounds than bika,,,
Getting pushed back to the ropes and beat up, doesnt win you rounds,,Comment
