Lara is nothing like Alvarez..Lara imo is a better fighter, might even be a harder puncher tbh..

Is Trout the new Berto now ?

Floyd gotta get past Khan first, best not to be looking past that at this stage.

Floyd doesn't fight slick fighters. Just sayin. Besides that, I'm not overly impressed with Lara anyhow. His speed (hand speed mostly and upper body movement at times) is very average to me (yeah I said it, watch the film) and his legs looked shaky yesterday as well. In any case Floyd wouldn't bother with that kind of style. That being said, I would support this fight and I do like some of the physical qualities of Lara - his reach is almost as long as Floyd's, being a tall southpaw is also a new look and I would like to see Floyd against a fellow "slickster."

True. And I would favor Canelo.

Lara was impressive. He's so fast. Great footwork too.

Its been known for a while that Carlos Molina and Lara were the 2 biggest threats to Mayweather but the fights will never happen. They will never let Mayweather fight a smart and skilled boxer who has a size advantage.

While I would love to see the fight materialize, the financial side of the equation won't allow it to happen. It's a shame, but boxing is a business first and I don't see Showtime risking an even bigger loss than was the case with Guerrero.
Nonsense. Lara(or Molina) isn't any worse of a draw than Bradley or Alexander.
