Devon alexander was very young when he fought bradley,, i thought he learned from it and showed much better ring generalship vs maidana,, I was ringside for alexander-maidana, and devon schooled him, may have been ugly and uneventful but alexander beat maidana..
i look back at the guys from the 80s and they all took tough fights early ie marlon starling, curry, mccory, norris, some of them lost, but cameback stronger and much improved,,, I envisioned alexander doing the same, getting beat early in his career by bradley, only to learn from it and grow as a fighter, he performed well vs maidana, and i thought he was on the verge of realizing his potential,,,
Obviously i was wrong, and its the same alexander that cant make adjustments when a fight wasnt going his way early,,,
It wasnt out of the realm of possibilty that devon had improved as a fighter,, but like i said he is still the same front runner and i was wrong that he had improved
Switching weight classes had nothing to with it, I just thought that the experience would have a greater effect on alexander,, much like how i think lamar russ will be better fighter after his loss to macklin,, its growing pains and learning curve, and alexander failed it
