You obviously don't know much about world history, boxing history or even current events. Are you aware that Cubans have been restricted from participating in professional sports for over fifty years? Are you aware that Cubans had a boxing world champion before both Mexico and Puerto Rico? Are you aware that all our ATGs and HOFers started their careers before the rise of Castro? Are you aware that Cuba, despite having only fifty or so pro boxers worldwide, currently has at least three world champions (not counting Quillin): Abril, Rigondeaux and Hernandez? Obviously not.

Agbeko watched the Donaire fight just like everyone else. He saw what Rigo did to Nonito. Once he tasted that first solid shot, Joe felt what he only saw on TV. That was enough for him.Has anyone ever seen agbeko so gun shy ever?? I mean this guy is used to throwing punches in bunches , Rigo just took his manhood .. I'm really really shocked and disappointed at all the negative comments ... Rigo wasn't even running he was flat footed for most of that fight .. agbeko just mentally gave up
I watched Pacquiao beat the living hell out of Rios for twelve rounds. I didn't find it particularly entertaining. I wouldn't have found it any more entertaining if Rigo did that to Agbeko.Comment

You could literally see the left hand that completely sapped Agbeko's will to fight in the first round.Agbeko watched the Donaire fight just like everyone else. He saw what Rigo did to Nonito. Once he tasted that first solid shot, Joe felt what he only saw on TV. That was enough for him.

It may not be exciting, but I'm always fascinated when a fighter is so good they make their opponent shell up like that. The idea that a fighter is good enough to do that to their opponent is something remarkable at a world class level.Comment

i feel you ace but amatuer experience and pro experience are totally different. i agree he is a top notch boxer but its a different ballgame in BIG fights. he did great in the donaire fight but everyone of floyds fights are events its a difference. a younge floyd countered just as good speed just as good power just as good iq just as good much better footwork much more aggressive possibly even defense all of this when floyd was just 25 if not younger. rigo even said he is improving with every fight its different in the pros. that being said i love rigo but he isnt better than floydDude he has only 13 pro fights in the U.S .. dudes been a season vet when he came here , hes as experienced as any fighter right now .. agbeko was the one not throwing , its not Rigo fault that hes that damn good that he makes it look easy .. i wanna see him again for sureComment

Indeed. The fight may have been a snoozer, but precious few boxers are capable of such a feat. Rigo had Donaire scrambling for his life in the twelfth round of their encounter, too. "El Chacal" is lambasted for being boring, but that's partly because few boxers would dare to take a fight to him. It doesn't just suck to get hit. It's sucks even worse to get hit hard and not be able to land in return. You could literally see the left hand that completely sapped Agbeko's will to fight in the first round.

Lol...that's what they said when the Rigo/donaire fight was announced. That Rigo didn't have enough time as a pro and look what happened to donaire.
Rigo is the most relaxed and composed technical fighter today. Unlike Floyd who has to shake his head everytime he gets hit and talk trash during the fight.Comment

lol
Dude Rigo has had over 400 amateur fights and has fought all of Cuba finest .. they have the best boxers in the world that we probably won't ever get to see .. there's a reason he was champion with only 8 pro fights .. young Floyd was not as dominant as Rigo is right now , dude just shut out 2 world class fighters in their prime , i cant say anyone ever is better than this guy right now .. he has zero weaknesses i mean zero .. if u want to talk defense statiscally Rigo is the best of all times .. look it up and yes even better than floyd .. different ballgame in BIG fights? Pffft did he not just blank easily the number 3 p4p?? What else does he need to do?? Smhi feel you ace but amatuer experience and pro experience are totally different. i agree he is a top notch boxer but its a different ballgame in BIG fights. he did great in the donaire fight but everyone of floyds fights are events its a difference. a younge floyd countered just as good speed just as good power just as good iq just as good much better footwork much more aggressive possibly even defense all of this when floyd was just 25 if not younger. rigo even said he is improving with every fight its different in the pros. that being said i love rigo but he isnt better than floydComment
