I dont see the similarities you guys see in Sweat P/ Mayweather. Two completely different styles if you ask me, Sweat P was in a league of his own, never replicated since, no one would dare.
chavez sr would've been a stylistical nightmare for floyd

Chevez sr gets picked apart something fierce.
Antonio Margarito, (the one Floyd ducked), would be a stylistic nightmare for Floyd.
Chavez didn't have the size, it's always been silly for people to act like Floyd is small. He's far more rangier than Chavez and would frustrate and control the smaller fighter with pinpoint accuracy for most of the fight.
Antonio Margarito had all the tools, plus world class stamina, ( the one area where almost all the elite fighters Floyd fought lacked), to beat Floyd. Margarito's relentless pressure and ability to stay strong over 12 rounds would have worn Floyd down. I believe that's precisely why Floyd didn't want it.Comment

Floyd would've beat Chavez Sr, and don't even mention Antonio Plasterito. We're talking about greats, not a punching bag that Pac tortured.Comment

Lol or maybe it's you that can't comprehend, or just lack the ability to understand certain boxing terms. I said IN-fighter, meaning being better on the inside. I just find it hilarious that you think that considering Whitaker literally had Chavez's back against the ropes in several sequences of the fight, something that I hadn't seen done against Chavez with opponents that are his size. Do you think Floyd could back up Chavez and **** on the inside with him?Comment

In no way, shape or form can Floyd fight on the inside like Pernell. You needed to be able to not hold and actually fight on the inside like Pernell.
Remember, if you're fighting Chavez Sr. he's the A side. The ref ain't gonna bail you out on the inside.
REMEMBER THAT.Comment

Chavez at 130 or 135 the mid to late 80s version would have been a nightmare for floyd or any other fighter in history,,
Chavez was granite chin, great body attack, great stamina, criminally underrated boxing skills, his jab and head movement where very effective, he could box off the back foot but would probably go straight at floyd, his combinations and punch accuracy where amazing, chavez got stronger as the fight went on, had great pop in either hand,, left hook was deadly so was the straight right that always seemed to land with a thud,
At 130 or 135 chavez would be a nighmare for floyd,, if its at welter then i favor floyd to outbox him
but at 130-135 i would say its a pick'em fightComment

Iron Hambone-or Jawbone- I'm not sure what you're getting at, other than that it isn't complimentary. But suit yourself. I really only post here so that you can bestow upon us some of your eternal wisdom...
I saw both fights at the times they took place, and Castillo's slow lethargic half-hearted performance was very marked. Mayweather fought the same as always, but Castillo didn't.
By the way, those funny little figures are wasted on me, I have no idea what they represent. I grew out of kid stuff by my early teens.Comment
