you cannot say that to any degree of certainty. would it be fair to say that about froch in the first?

he was hurt much more seriously. that's what it looks like to go out. you legs drop from under you, because you're briefly out.

Seriously though he looked a bit ****ed up but I think it was too early to stop it. I think Froch looked just as bad in the 1st

How is that a 'new' angle if it's recorded off the TV?

Groves' habit of letting his arms hang by his side at times hurt him with the ref I think. In the lead up to that exchange he was leaning on Froch with his arms hanging down and you could see the ref was concerned by it. Made it look like he was hurt and staggering when he was still alright.

That angle makes it look like Groves got put out by that right. Again, still think it was too early, but Groves looks much more hurt than I thought live.

lol@ trying to justify this pathetic stoppage

this wasn't no domestic bout, it was a championship fight

if groves was going to get stopped he deserved to get stopped the right way,

agree Froch would have stopped him anyway with over a minute left in the round but groves was at least throwing back ref should have waited little more

I agree. He could have let him hit canvas or something first but he did take a lot of Flush shots

Yh look how quickly he recovered. He only fell forward offering ZERO resistance with his hands almost touching the canvas, doubles over, facing away, not bracing himself & taking shots, fell into the referee and it wasn't until the referee stopped the fight and turned him around and after he FELL into the ropes a full 5 seconds later did he respond.

Lets not go on like he wasn't reeling and eating big shots and on the fade for 2 rounds prior.

He is lucky the referee jumped in because that is the last place you want to be against a fight like Carl Froch when he smells blood.
His exhaustion, weak chin & inexperience cost him the fight, not the referee.
