Wasn't Schaeffer the one who financed all of GBP? I thought he's a former banker or something of the sort...I was under the impression he was part owner. I know i've felt like that company was one big pyramid scheme after DLH lost to hopkins and all of the sudden hopkins is also part owner.

B-Hop just answered the question about who is the most feared light heavyweight.

Honestly, I'd be fine with any combination of Stevenson, Kovalev, and B-Hop. And I guess you could throw Ward in there too. But personally, I would like to see Ward-GGG at 68 more than I wanna see SOG challenge any of the light heavys.

As for B-Hop, call me crazy. But if he isn't gonna be able to get one of the HBO boys. I think GBP should look into and seriously entertain the thought of manipulating some rankings and letting X go for a bogus heavyweight belt. Obviously, the Klitschkos are too big. But the WBA's super champion deal is a loophole that can be exploited. Their regular title in vacant. And at the top of their ratings is some dude named Ortiz and next Chris Arreola. I'm pretty sure GBP could grease somebody's pocket at the WBA to make B-Hop-Arreola for the vacant regular title. And personally, I think X could frustrate and beat him.

Yep, I for one want HBO to reject it. I want Stevenson-Kovalev.

i would be fine if hopkins-stevenson got made,, i dig that fight and would like to see the old man go for his 3rd lineal title at lhw vs stevenson...

Stevenson is shook by kovolev, that much was apparent in his post fight interview, so that fight isnt getting made anytime soon,,

I expect to either see stevenson vs hopkins, or the winner of pascal/bute, or possibly froch since he is ducking a groves rematch
my bad guys I got my triangle theories wrong. But who fouhg tof rit more than he did in the last few years?

Kovalev though will get avoided by both, and already has. He is a different type of animal and would beat them both up.

Looking past that, Stevenson is the only guy who has a slight chance to beating Kovalev if he can get his left hand landing. Hopkins would not last 6 rounds against Kovalev. He has nothing to deter him and Kovalev's balance and moving attack will simply wear Hopkins out.

Kovalev vs Hopkins will never happen for that reason.
              Nothing more to say here...

When is the last time bhop produced a good fight?

Seriously, people still have interest in watching him? I don't care if he can beat Stevenson, I have no interest in watching him anymore.

I enjoyed both his bouts with Pascal.

not sure but i think your asking who has fought for it more the past few years,,

well its clearly been hopkins since he is a 2 time lineal champ, and for the past few years he has been the biggest draw/fighter for everyone in the division, so he gets the most shots,, but in reality he lost it to calzaghe, cameback and beat pavlik and jones, then got a draw and a win vs pascal, then a NC and lose to dawson, but has since rebounded with a title win vs cloud and a mandatory vs murat,,

I would rather see kovolev vs stevenson, but i have no problem with hopkins getting a shot,, until someone beats up this old man, he is still the biggest name in the division and a top 3 guy as well

For anybody who doesn't know; a short while Before HBO rejected Hopkins-Stevenson, Showtime and GoldenBoy rejected Kovalev-Hopkins (who was his mandatory) and the reason being because he is not a well enough known name in the States and doesn't have any fans- ironically like a week later, they chose to fight the previous mandatory: Karo Murt, who apparently is more well known in the United States (never fought in the US) then Kovalev- who... You know, fought 4 times in the United States in 2013, on national TV I might add.

So with all that being said, and with Kovalev already being targeted to sign a contract with HBO, why was HBO supposed to accept Hopkins-Adonis again?
