Floyd said very clearly that if he doesn't accept 14 days and 50-50 now he's not going get it again. Now or never on that deal and next time it's up to the day of the fight and not 50-50.
Suddenly now 14 days is ok even though it wasn't before and 50-50 also sounds nice.
But yeah only one side throwing up road blocks.
Exactly.
50-50 was on the table when Floyd was coming off 1 million PPV's against Marquez, and Pac was coming off 1.25M against Cotto. There wasn't quite as big of a sample size of their PPV power yet. Floyd had only had 3 big time PPV's against Oscar, Hatton, and Marquez. Manny only had 3 as well, Oscar, Hatton, Cotto.
Between then Floyd did 1.4M with Mosley, above what Pac did with him. And Floyd did 1.25M with Victor Ortiz, the same number Pac did with big names like Oscar and Cotto, and more then he did with a more recognizable name in Margarito. Not to mention, HBO stopped releasing the real #'s after Margarito, hence why Schaefer always was saying "Tell Bob to open up his books and we'll compare the revenue generated, and find a % that way", Arum would never let anyone know the real #'s from Mosley, Marquez 3 and 4, Bradley.
And if there's no cheating involved, Pacquiao should have no problem testing for whatever whenever. Now Pacquiao makes himself look like an idiot doing the testing 4 years later against Rios, when he had a 50-50 deal with a 14 day window for christ sake that he turned down to fight Joshua Clottey.
