Like I said: A ward victory over Kovalev would have to be an absolute masterpiece of boxing and in my personal opinion, would make Ward the P4P king, IMO (not a big fan of P4P rankings but most consider him #2)

Btw, Darnell Boone said that Kovalev is better than Adonis and Ward

The only question to me is Kovalevs stamina, but I can't see Ward holding off Kovalev and his high workrate for 12 rounds. He's a superior boxer by far, but IMO to beat Kovalev you need not only to be the superior boxer, but you have to have one punch KO power or at least wear-you-down Kovalev power to keep him modest and thinking. That's a rare breed.

Kovalevs timing and power combination, breaks Ward down and Kovalev KOs Ward. IMO.

For the record: I think Ward beats Golovkin

Inb4 Kovalev is the new HBO/NSB hype job, etc....
lol, I can see him doing a lot of that.

Ward's untested at the weight of course, it may well be that he's not effective at 175 so we're left discussing styles for the most part.

AW's a very good backfoot fighter, obviously exceptional on the inside too. Froch says he's either too close to hit, or too far away, there's no in-between. I don't really think Kovalev can hold a candle to Ward as far as pure boxing is concerned, however, power is a game-changer and if he can land that big shot he can get it done.

There's a pretty good chance Kovalev's fight would end two or three rounds before Golovkin's, and you'd tune in just in time to see GGG end his. Best of both worlds.

Ward would win. I'm very confident about it, as dangerous a fight as it would be.

Don't be ridiculous. An offer hasn't been put on the table for Ward to fight either guy, as far as I'm aware.

I think he's gonna fight one/both of them in the near future and tbh I can't see him losing to either of them.
