Why? Stylistically this a Pacquiaos fans fight. Bob can sell this, and the Roach back drop is an interesting side piece. HBO is showing their affinity for Eastern Euopean fighters, they can set a compelling back drop.

The way I see it. Provo got three choices. Fight Manny and continue this comfortable existance as a quasi TR fighter. Try and jump ship to GBP where he'll be kept away from any and everyone GBP sees as a potential Floyd opponent. Or, stay loyal to Pac and not fight, piss Arum off, and then its back to ESPN getting outboxed by the Mauricio Herreras of the world for peanuts.

I have said this is the logical next fight. I think its good to have manny fighting someone coming off a win. All the "they share the same trainer stuff" is not that big a deal IMO.

I also agree with poster techliam the fight should be at 140.

IMO part of the problem is Manny continues to fight jww at ww. This gives him even more of an advantage over guys he would easily beat at 140 and makes the fight less attractive to non manny fans.

If this fight can get made I hope TR can also make mikey garcia v nonito, who also share the same trainer.

Prod would officially end Pacs CAREER! If Rios was walking thru Pacs punches, Prod would actually get to Pac, and Pac would try to go toe2toe and get beat down. Hate Don King all you want, but the dude put on amazing fight cards. Yes he screwed fighters out of millions but one thing you can say is he never screwed over the fans.
