However.....

Broner is not elite yet. I agree. I disagree with the list of fighters you think can beat him.

Broner may be a clown-but he has a great, smart trainer and is backed by powerful interests. He will get big fights and will have a good gameplan.

Too much attention is focused on Broner not KOing paulie. Not enough attetion is focused on how he clearly beat a true ww in his 1st fight up from LW.

getting a lil free with your vocabulary huh? clearly is a stretch, Broner arguable lost the first 5 rounds to a fighter that was doing nothing but throwing a stay off me jab, and he faded in the later rounds and allowed Paulie to out work him yet again.

He had a really ****** gameplan vs Paulie. He thought he could just walk him down and get him out of there but it let Paulie use the little speed he still has left to easily counter him with fast combinstions to make it a coose fight.

Should of followed the Khan approach to Paulie by boxing in combinations and beating him to the punch that would eventually lead to a stoppage.

Broner is fighting guys that Amir Khan already beat a few years ago, I guess they're gonna line up Zab Judah next for him.

And I agree, Broner is far from elite. I think he loses to Mayweather (obviously), Garcia, Thurman, Guerrero, Pacquiao, and Bradley at welter weight. Fights with Maidana, Matthysse, Khan, and Ortiz are toss ups as well. I hope I'm wrong because I like him and he brings excitement to the sport in and outside the ring.

I've been an AB supporter from jump but damnit if he isn't an annoying little prick now. All the talent in the world but he will be his own downfall. He'll handle Maidana easily but once he's in there with elite level fighters he'll be exposed. Their gameplan is to continue to fight tailor made opponents until Floyd retires. Then market AB as Floyd 2.0. But alas his own fast lifestyle will be his detriment. This numnuts doesn't realize that "Money May" is a made for reality TV persona. AB is actually imitating EVERYTHING Floyd has said and done. Every time this midget repeats a saying, catch phrase, or Floyd'ism I feel bad for Him and I become a little less interested in his career.

He's an untested fighter who appears to have talent who is also grossly overrated by HBO and some fans on this site.

The Maidana fight will at least prove how good his chin is and how well he handles pressure.

He's not elite yet because when you are elite, you face other elite fighters. It's a wait and see thing. That isn't a negative. Saying that he won't ever be elite is the unknown, and just a haters mentality.

JMM first fight at WW = Blown up LW...ppl say weight matters

AB's first fight at WW = he should of did this & that & all of a sudden weight doesn't matter

I understand his personality puts some people off but people should give him the same cushion that they give other fighters that jumped up 2 WC's...people here like to discredit a fight where certain guys move up only 1 WC.

You get green karma. But to be honest, all Broner has to do is win. The other stuff always falls into place. They can give an excuse for their guy and dis the other guy, who cares. All Broner has to do is win.
