[QUOTE=Le samouraļ;13995020]Lol at this "pick up the phone" nonsense from both sides. As if that's how this **** really works.

For one thing, if Floyd wants the fight, why not "pick up da phone" and call Pacquiao? If GB wants to set up the fight, why not call Arum? Right now, Arum and Pacquiao are saying they want the fight. That's more than GB/Floyd are doing - in fact, their camp is saying **** like "Pacquiao who?" and "let him KO Tim Bradley in the [unconfirmed] rematch first."

Also, Schaefer contradicts himself. He tells Arum to pick up the phone and give him a call, but then makes very clear that Mayweather will not work with Arum whatsoever. So, tell me Schaefer, why must he pick up the phone again?

Basically, at this point Pacquiao is probably pretty desperate for the fight. He's got more miles on the clock than Floyd, and not much longer at the top level of the sport. On the other hand, Floyd seems content cherry-picking defenseless little guys like Khan and probably has literally no interest fighting a live opponent, whether or not you think he'd legitimately beat Manny or not. I think he would, but he doesn't want to risk it.

Everything you said goes both ways. Why talk to the media, when Arum could've just called like you say GB should do. And I'm pretty sure Arum said he wouldn't work with them either. Just like Schaefer. And if Khan is a cherry pick, what was Rios? I think both are to blame, but too many of you guys pick sides. Instead of holding both equally accountable. If FLOYD-PAC wants the fight so bad, why dont they fight under May and Pac Promotions, and tell Bob and Richard to sit this one out? Blame is 50-50 however you look at.

The sad thing about this entire situation is that this fight will most likely happen before either fighter retires. Years too late and there fans will still rave about it as if it were indeed 2010.

No doubt you will be the first to cry about it on here if they ever do sign.

Good thing for you they probably never will.

And why is Scaefer even getting involved with the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight when he doesn't promote either fighter?
That's what I've been wondering about.

They're putting all their eggs in the Mayweather basket. They have no funds left for subscribers. They haven't produced any fight in a long while now.

Despite the popular opinion on this forum,Arum and Schaefer aren't idiots and know exactly what they're doing. Arum is a veteran in the boxing business and has been apart of legendary fights in the past, if he wanted the fight it would have been made by now. Both camps have an agenda and won't change until we as fans get their attention with low PPV numbers and ratings.

Yep. It'll always be worth money, and some day at least one of them is going to need the cash desperately enough to make it happen. Maybe even both of them.

Are you joking??? SHO is about to give us two straight weekends of quality quadrupleheaders - four fights, all quality - instead of the endless stream of mismatches and one-sided fights that HBO has been serving up.

They are all full of **** don't be fooled, isn't Arum the one that's always saying you don't communicate through the media? Then he brings up the fact that nobody called him even though he said something to the media.
I understand arguing about fighters on here, its a boxing site and fans get excited but arguing over Promoters and TV channels now is getting ridiculous.

What the **** are you guys doing? He's offering up an opening to negotiate, and you find that to be offensive? No, you're mad that Arum spoke out about the fight, and you know Floyd doesn't want it, that's why you're mad.

It makes Floyd look bad, and it puts more pressure on a cross promotion fight. You guys want to feed Floyd, guys like Khan, Garcia, and make all the money.

That's the same as Bob, but Bob's extending an olive branch. You guys aren't doing ****.
You probably still believe Arum is working on that temporary stadium for the Mayweather/Pacqauio fight.
