yeah I don't see HBO offering Ward too many fights like anymore.

Ok, finalized Ward-Rodriguez ratings on HBO: average was 1,029,333 viewers. Their average for the main event was 1,191,000. #boxing

the ratings were terrible considering HBO paid $3.2 million license fee for the fight.

Well they're going to have to figure out something soon because Golovkin and Stevenson/Kovalev are pulling better numbers and they are not getting paid nearly as much as Ward.

If Ward can't secure a fight with Chavez Jr., I can see them pressuring him to move up and Ward might not have a choice.

No surprise. Both guys are electric. Especially on the same card.

It wouldn't be profitable for HBO to put Stevenson vs Kovalev yet as that would just kill their momentum.

Instead they should "feed" them, either go:

Stevenson vs Froch OR Stevenson vs Hopkins
Kovalev vs Hopkins OR Kovalev vs Froch

            OR/THEN

Stevenson vs Ward OR Stevenson vs Kessler
Kovalev vs Kessler Or Kovalev vs Ward

[They have atleast *Ward* - *Kessler* - *Froch* - *Hopkins*]

We could even add *Bute* - *Pascal* in the mix if Stevenson or Kovalev were to lose their next fight to build them right back up and face one of the fours.

In hope they would K.O their opponents to get an even greater boost in ratings.

(If everything goes according to the plan)

Finally get Stevenson vs Kovalev for the end of the year 2014 or early/mid 2015.

What the hell are you talking about dude? So you'd rather sit through lesser fights and wait a long time to finally get the fight that you actually wanted to watch from the beginning? That's what your saying right?

Hopefully this causes them to do everything they can to just make Stevenson vs Kovalev happen next and not make us wait a long time to finally get to watch it. It will be a great fight and i'll be looking forward to it.

Not really Knockout Ratings but Solid considering they was going up against some Big College Football Games this past week, same with Ward a few Weeks Ago

I think it is smart to do like Showtime and allow the College Football Season to end before coming back with Big Cards. Showtime Cards these next few weeks are likely going to do far bigger numbers because they won't be going up against College Football which much bigger than Boxing in America!

Yea but what is the overlap?

How many college football fans are also big boxing fans? I would say it's not that big of a deal.
