Comments Thread For: Arum in NYC TO Discuss Pacquiao's Fund Raising

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is in New York to undertake what he described as “a massive fund raising in the United States spearheaded by US Senate majority leader Harry Reid who is a good friend of Manny Pacquiao.”

Arum told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard the plan is to “raise funds for the construction of homes” in the area devastated by super typhoon Yolanda, international code name Haiyan and “to do really important things now that the relief effort has taken hold and people have food to eat.”

If no Floyd-Pac or JMM-Pac 5, then bring on Pac-Bradley II.

I'm all in. Let's do this.

Bradley looked very good in defeating Marquez. I'm all in for a Pac-Bradley rematch too. I used to abhor the idea of it but not now.

Pac-Bradley makes sense for a number of reasons. The only problem I'd have with it is that it wasn't a very good fight last time around.

Obvious PR move is obvious. If Bob is so generous where was he when Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy struck? I hate how international charity garners more attention and support then national charities.

We don't know what Arum did for Katrina...and we will never know....so please let's not assume bullshhh on here. He's doing a good thing right now, national charities get plenty of public funding here unlike international ones who mostly rely on individuals donating. Kudos to arum for not going the celebrity route ala Jay-z/Sean Combs who used their donation to Katrina as a P.R. stunt.
