Its really that simple. Manny will either be dictated to or continue to choose lesser opponents for lower money because he walked away the 1st time.

Imagine if floyd did this with ODH-he'd be making far less fighting on Manny's and cotto's undercards and still with TR.
really not the same. Pad how many 1 mil PPV fights. how many did Floyd have before Oscar - 0

So if Pac wants t fight Floyd, he's gonna have to do what every other fighter that has faced him since he broke through into the mainstream against DLH has had to do. And in Manny's case, its gonna go a lil something like this. He's gonna have to dump Arum. He can either wait out his contract and no re-sign at the end of next year. Or, Floyd and his reps can buy Manny out for a night. Pa's gonna have to take a flat guarantee, which like all of Floyd's other opponents, will be a career high purse. And he's gonna receive little to none of the PPV revenue. An he's gonna have to agree to OST. If he's willing to do that, I think the fight happens soon. If not, Pac will have to be content fighting his TR stablemates and hading Arum a huge percentage of his purses.
so, if I understand you correctly, Pac is in the same position as Robe Gueurreo of Amir Khan for negotiating a fight? ok...

Its not what you have done before-its what you can use your leverage to negotiate.

Nelly had a diamond selling album once. Drake never has. who you think would get more right now?

It is what it is. Manny made the mistake Mike McD did in Rounders-he wen't all in without the best hand and it bit him in the ass. Mike McD learned his lesson-lets hope manny did.

Not Guerrero or Khan. But he's very much in the same position that Canelo and Cotto were. Difference is, Canelo and Cotto legitimately wanted the fight.

Personally, at this moment, I'd look at wins over Garcia and Pac about the same. Sorry. Danny's done a helluva lot more recently and is a figter on the rise. Pac is pretty much a guy with a bigass question mark hanging over his head as to whethr he's still elite. And I'm sorry, beating Rios didn't change that. Floyd beating Manny right now would be viewed exactly how beating Cotto or even Mosley was. He waited till they got old is what you and your kin would be screaming and you know it.

The same? Garcia is more deserving than Pacquiao at this point.

Mannix from SI is reporting bob told him mann/rios sold 500-550k ppv's. That means it prob did 450-500k. If this is true Manny has got to be kicking himelf.
Oh OK. I haven't seen anything about the Rios numbers. But if your numbers are accurate, that puts Pac in Bradley-JMM territory. And like I said yesterday, Pac's only a major draw if he's seen as a legitimate threat to Floyd. Going into the Rios fight, he wasn't seen as a legit threat to Floyd. Arum figured this out a week or two before the Rios fight which is when he started chirping about Floyd. Didn't really work. But now that Pac got a win, he's putting the whole "Floyd's scared of Manny" campaign in full overdrive. And Pac's next PPV numbers will reflect it. Same **** different toilet homie.

Well, I kinda view Pac as an elite fighter in decline (similar to Martinez) and view Garcia as a a fringe elite on the rise. So that's why I say they're pretty similar in my mind. But I don't have much argument for anyone who think one's a slightly better win over the other.
