Kelly didn't son anyone, there a reason guys like andre Berto can get all that tv time and still fight in a empty arena, his promoters don't promote and he doesn't do anything to build his PR.

It's not rocket scientist why a lot of fighters are constantly in empty arenas. They don't do anything for the media to talk about, therefore fans don't care about them either.

Dan is right, these dudes are getting network $ and they should be out there romoting the event for themselves, the promoter, and the network.

Are you familiar with these days, father's day and mother's day? Days where parents are celebrated for doing their job well, but following fat Dan's logic those days shouldn't exist because they're simply fulfilling their responsibilities.

Just because an individual should do something, does not mean that they should not receive praise for actually following through on it. People are praised for their work ethics and commitment all of the time, boxers should not be the exception. The only reason shit like this is even questioned is because people subconsciously place boxers on the level of animals, who should tear one another to shreds for their entertainment.

It sucks that this had to be pointed out, but thank you anyways.

You have to understand the context here in regards to Dan and his attitude towards boxers. He is one of the most relied upon boxing journalist yet he doesn't even like pure boxing. He called Rigo's destruction of Donaire "boring" and is blatantly dismissive of pure boxers. His favorite fighter was Arturo Gatti...I guy who gets hit more than a cone in Chinatown.

So when you understand all of THAT....ALONG with the fact that he has never stepped a foot in the ring yet has such a dismissive attitude towards what boxers go through...Kelly's response and the reason why it cuts so deep is that much more pleasing.
