Middleweight titleholder Gennady Golovkin’s next appearance will see him defend his World Boxing Association belt against Osumanu Adama in Monte Carlo on Feb. 1, according to a news release from promoter Golden Gloves.

“Gennady has been very forthright in his commitment to staying active and fighting the toughest opposition available,” said Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, which promotes Golovkin, in a statement within the press release.

this should be some real easy work/money for GGG. I ain't mad at him cause he's got to stay active.

No idea who that is. Wonder if Murray is still on this card like he said.

A pretty poor opponent choice. I want to see GGG try and clean out the division not tread water.

Never seen his opponent fight. Its obv not what we'd hoped for but at least GGG is keeping active and steadily building his name. I'd rather he fight I dunno two nobodies and 1 somebody in a year rather than just 1 somebody. Better to stay busy than just twiddle his thumbs waiting on martinez

With Martinez, Ward and the entire top fighters in the divisions running scared... this is what's available.

Staying buzy waiting patiently for Sergio to decide , but at the end of 2014 Sergio should have already fought GGG or handed him the title.
