The date was set, Arum had a date set for a fight with JMM a month before. This was all before his deal with Showtime. It could have been his last fight, period, and he called Manny out. Floyd didn't balk. He didn't make excuses or have road blocks put up, but you're ignoring that aspect of the discussion.

After Manny's promoter declined the fight, Floyd and his team made a fight with a former top rank fighter instantaneously.

Who's to say it couldn't have been the same with Manny if Arum wouldn't have made his claims as to why his fighter wouldn't have been ready?

Does anyone remember when May 5, 2012 was THE DATE Arum wanted for Pac's fight, but then when Mayweather's sentence was pushed back until June 1st, it was June for Pac's fight.

Yeah Arum is desperate to make the fight.
