Retire him? Based on what? His win over Alvarado?
It's unbelievable to me how guys have a few good fights and suddenly they're unstoppable.

If JMM was able to 4 times hang with a guy like Pacquiao, (many thought he won all 4) who is faster, stronger and 5x the fighter Provodnikov is, what makes you think Marquez won't handle Provodnikov? Or that Provodnikov would retire him?

        You don't learn.

        "Some of you never LEARN."

No, YOU don't learn. You can't compare a PRIME Garcia with a washed up Roidquez. Provo is a strong-willed fighter who you don't run from for twelve rounds. He is from Russia and you can tell when he fights. It's kill or be killed with this guy. You are over-rating Juan is what you're doing. He will get Ko'ed if he fights Provo, but guess what? He's not ****** so he won't.

Why does Pac's big bro JMM have to take on dudes that Pacquiao is ducking? First JMM had to take that Floyd beating from 135 to 147 to show Pacquiao what brass balls he has. Now JMM has nothing to prove by fighting Prov, win or lose, yet he has to fight him cause Pacquiao is gunshy and doesn't want to face such a dangerous JWW who he will bring up to WW anyway like he's done in the last 3 fights.

            Mauricio Herrera disagrees.

Provodnikov is trained by Roach, and spars with Pac. That automatically makes him the #2 P4P fighter in Pacland.

I'd be fine with this fight. Sergio still has to get medically cleared so it'd funny if Marquez somehow magically wins the Cotto sweepstakes. I'd love that.

It'd be a travesty to boxing if Provodnikov v Rios wasn't made...a fûcking travesty.

Really, why? So you can watch two unskilled tough guys beat each other's brains out? Rios is a step back for Provo. He needs to be advancing his career. Which means he should fight whichever of TR's "big 3" isn't fighting each other.

It's hardly foolish considering it was a very close fight and he had Bradley hurt several times. Also many people count the missed knockdowns.
