I don't think anyone is defending it. He was an a$$. He though has done his time and corrected his life. That is all you can ask for.

he has done everything he could to turn his life around and put his past behind him. its very important that ppl give him credit for that and dont hold something that happened 15 years ago against him for the rest of his life.

Dude did his time...he paid his debt to society...I don't think he owes anyone here an apology or explanation for his past....he rumbled his demons and became a boxing star....don't be so critical...are people really holding this dude's past against him?!?

I understand he had a rough life, but that's not an excuse. I know that he did his time and is living a straight life now, but you have to ask yourself if certain acts can be forgiven no matter how much time has passed and how much has changed. Somethings can never be forgiven. I'm not gonna tell anyone what to think, but to me, what he did was disgusting.

No image is irreparable and you don't know him on a personal level to say he is still scum. People change over time, and don't think I back him because of what he does inside the ring, I'll let you know right away that I don't like his style, I find his offense to be one dimensional and it's only a matter of time before he gets exposed for those deficiencies. No ones defending his actions. But the man did his time. What more does everyone want? He went to jail served and his time. Nothing more needs to be said.

Actually, he did not. He got off because the legal limit for sex with underage girls (that is the age spread, the age difference, not just how young the girls were) changed which means he served less time due to a technicality so no, he did not serve proper time. That is why women's rights advocates have been stinging him with criticism in the Canadian media and will properly continue to do so.
