I don't think so. He is not headlining major cards. Showtime has not truly committed to him. He eats on the general TV deal golden boy has with showtime, he ain't got his own deal. He drew attention because of his conduct at the Olympics and his knockout percentage. I use to deal with Shelly Finkel all the time and he continually pointed out to me that he had a serious heavyweight under the radar. Trust me, no hype job. Kid has been grindin for years. Nothing has been given to him. Chisora, with his sorry ass, was like 15-1 when he got a title shot. He then got a lucrative fight with Haye. That's hype.

donaire is perhaps a bit overrated, but he is a great fighter. rigo is just a beast, i dont think its so muh that donaire struggles with boxers as rigo just being among the very best boxers in the game. donare obviously prefers fighting guys who come right at him but he can beat technicians too, atm he is shooting himself in the foot though, he got away from what made him successful in the first place and just wants to rely on i sleft hook without setting it up. i expect him to get back to his own self and show just how good he is in te near future.

            2. GGG

ggg gets overhyped a whole lot, which is crazy because he is a great fighter. he hasnt proved it yet, which is part of why he is overhyped at this stage but mroe than anything ppl just take it too far. ive seen ppl call him the best MW in history and say he woud knock out the likes of monzon and hagler. while such ignorance is truly embarassing ppl do have reasons for being impressed by him. i expect him to achieve great things in the sport, ppl need to keep themselves from getting out of hand with the hype though.

            3. Miguel Cotto

cotto still has something left, if he didnt he wouldnt have fought as well against trout and mayweather as he did. trout is a very good fighter and floyd is the best in all of boxing, if cotto was as shot as TS claims he wouldnt have seen the final bell against either one let alone been competetive. thats said he isnt the same miguel cotto, but in his prime he was so great that even a diminished version of him can hang at top level.

            4. Amir Khan

agreed. the upside is apparent, but so is the downside. not sure if i ever seen a so flawed fighter at this level. no inside game, no defense, no chin, no brain.. kid cant even pace himself when he is winning.. ppl go bonkers for power and handspeed though, khan has good power and tremednous handspeed so all is forgotten, no matter how many times he gets whupped by guys who were huge underdogs to beat him.

            5. Tyson Fury

while i agree with everything TS states about him, the HW dvision is so weak he is still a legit player. sad but true.

abner mares isnt overrated at all, danny garcia is arguably the most underrated fighter in boxing atm, manny is a bit overrated but still great, ruslan is overrated but still solid.

            • Wilder, Broner, GG, Khan, and Gary Russell. Kovalev can be included in this list too.

Being called a hype job is not a negative.

              • This is an uneducated post. Overrated doesnt equal "hype job." Perhaps you should make a list of the fighters you just dont like. Cotto? gimmie a friggin break. He's NEVER been overrated or a hype job. Just because a fighter is in the last innings of his career doesnt mean he is a hype job. Awful.
