Andre Ward was a big winner tonight

Here is why my fellas fight freaks. The boxing business is built upon low risk high reward. In this case, it works for both fighters. In Andre's mind Kovalev is a LIMITED boxer. He was getting his ears boxed off before the knockout. He was moved by punches tonight. He carries his hands low, he displays NO head movement, he is flat footed, and he does not mind getting hit. Thats a wet dream to Andre Wards camp. Those shortcoming plays in to SOG's hands. Fistic flaws that on paper will amplify Andre's strengths. Andre watched the fight tonight, and told himself, "I can beat him". Andre will also realize that a win over Kovalev will snatch way more hood credit then a win over Adonis. At this point, Kovalev is the better fighter, that much was clear tonight. You have to be blind as CJ Ross not see that. Kovalev is the MUCH better option of the two. In terms of credibility. Kovalev is also the cheaper fighter, he will sign to fight Andre ward for dumbo sized peanuts. He is STARVING to dignify all of the hype. If he loses, so what? He STILL will be among the hottest names in the sport, Andre is the de facto #1 fighter on the planet. Losing to him is quite alright. Beating him will make Kovalev an 8 figure type of prize fighter. He could back to europe and make crazy euros until rapture. Kathy Duva, who I have interviewed on numerous occasions, is the smartest woman in the sport. She realizes that striking while the iron is hot is key to building a superstar. She will take the fight for $300,000 with the promise of at least one more fight on HBO. The allure, of a man that could actually lay andre out will sell the fight. Its Andre's chance to become a mainstream superstar. At some point, he will have to carry the sport, and a win against the most dangerous man in the world will help his cause. It could actually be staged in Vegas. A step that Andre Ward has been dying to take. PPV? Most likely not, but it will net SOG a title in a second weight class, it will be by far the most credible win in ANY weight class as of this moment, and it will prove to be the defining win of his career. The fight works for both sides, and since Adonis is insisting on DUCKING Kovalev, the fight makes PERFECT sense, and it can be made right now. Both fighters would take the fight for selfish reasons, and us, the fight freaks, will benefit. What a fight!!! Speed vs Power. That to me, has way more intrigue then the fight with Superman that isn't going to happen for at least a year. And while were on the subject, I take Kovalev inside of 3 rounds over Adonis, If Tony could move Adonis, and knock him down, Kovalev will snuff him like a match light

But yeah, Ward is a winner tonight. He won by deciding to stay at 168 to fight Chavez and Froch instead of moving up to fight Kovalev and Stevenson.

No way, Froch will never fight ward, Froch is done. He needs to cash out. Chavez will not able to fight Ward until August at the earliest because of the Vera retread. Your time table does not make sense brother

Ward is going to be a Super Middleweight until GGG decides he wants to receive an ass whoopin'.

After that, if Stevenson or Kovalev are still "the man" in the division, he will fight either fighter and get NSB to complain about how he won (instead of giving him props for dominating on the inside and outside).

sillakh would probably give ward hell and outbox him. ward has no power to put sillakh away. if anything this made ward even more scared than he already is. kovalev just destroyed a good boxer who made 1 mistake. if ward ducked bute and stevenson you think hes telling himself he can beat kovalev? lol!

If you really think Ward is going to move up to fight Kovalev and/or Stevenson, fair enough. I don't think he will any time soon.

Ward needs to move up and stop trying to lure 160 pounders up in weight to fight him.
