Exactly so we are on the exact same page here!

Barker is the Lineal Champion at MW.

Calzaghe is the Lineal Champion at SMW.

And Lewis is the Lineal Champion when he makes his inevitable return in the next few years and defends it against Audley Harrison; The Battle of the Gold Medalists!!

i really do believe that a lightning bolt will take down anybody who goes up more than a few rounds against prince ward. miracle, act of god, call it what you'd like.

Oh man this thread is gold

He's not a "No hoper" though so how isn't he Lineal Champion?

If there's still a chance he'll make a return then he's still the Lineal Champion.

We can't say "When he'll make his comeback" so obviously until we can distinguish that he cannot comeback, he's the Lineal Champion.

Hence why when he comes out of retirement, he's still the Champ!!

there's no dispute if he does, dog.

joe could come back and campaign at 168 and make it to a title shot against ward. he'd be the challenger. that's how it works.

I would have to fact check your Barker issue, but Joe is done not an active fighter and even if he cameback he would have to comeback at 168 or lower to make the claim.

If Lewis came back he could make a claim.

No but when announce your official retirement and vacate your belts and are removed from all rankings and listings you are no longer the Lineal Champion.

Except in your world of course.

No your just removed of rankings and your ABC belts vacated, fighters gets removed from rankings in divisions when they move up in weight too it doesn't mean they couldn't comeback to the weight and defend their lineal crown.

Go and check the first post and have a look at the breakdown.

You cannot deny that Barker is the current Lineal Champion. It's impossible.

Ray Leonard returned in 1997 to MW and hadn't lost the Lineage he won in 1987 so he was still Lineal Champion (Soooooo ******ed!!!! )

He then lost it to Camacho, who lost it to Walsh, who lost it Dzemski, who lost it to Sylvester, who lost it to Asikainen, who lost it to Sylvester, who lost it to Sturm, who lost it to Geale, who lost it to Barker.

And, VIOLA, DARREN BARKER, LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION.

                    You simply can't deny this.

And yes, like you beautifully put it, if Lennox Lewis makes a comeback, he's still the Lineage Champion.

                      spraydog; cmon now.

get a good lift. productive sets, great form, full pump. just try and really enjoy the sets.
six eggs scrambled, turkey bacon, and something green. i've been tearing through asparagus lately. sip on a big glass of 1% chocolate milk. that stuff's good.

then get some rest. sleep on it. come back tomorrow and see if you still want to say that you think lennox lewis is the HW champion of the world.

just say it out loud, dog. "lennox lewis is still the HW champion."

                      what? cmon, man.
